happy new year, here's a z pak
Well, I went to work like a trooper and got sent home ill. I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty pumped over it. I feel a lot like death must feel like. I did test negative for strep, but I'm not convinced r/t the way my throat feels. Not convinced at all. I got a z pak, cough drops, kleenex and lysol, so I'm pretty much ready for the day on the couch.
Brandon and I didn't do anything for new years eve. Actually, he was playing on the computer, and I was reading so we missed midnight altogether. We kissed about 1 am and called it good. We're kind of home bodies, which I am totally okay with.
There is a series by karen white involving the character Melanie something who can communicate with dead people. I really like it and just finished the 3rd book Strangers on Montague street or something or another like that. Just starting a The girl who chased the moon which looks promising. Mom is in a book club and keeps me in books. Fro, Ice-T wrote a book. NO lie. I"m starting it next. Grampa read it and enjoyed it, so I'm excited! I love Ice-T. He's like the grumpy old rapper. He said young rappers with 22s and 24s are driving around on wagon wheels, and basically i love him. I think grampa loved him too, because he is also old.
Grampa Bales gets more and more frail. The parkinsons is really working him over. Prayers always appreciated. My grandparents are my heart, and as always, it is hard to watch them grow older. Gramma Lehman is doing better. She wants to drive like no other, and we continue to fight her on that. Dad said he'll disable her car if he has to, so I'm not so worried about it. Gramma Bales hiatal hernia really bothers her, and her vision is poor, which bothers her because she loves to read. We get her the large print books, and that helps. Over all, She is doing pretty good also. And of course, Grampa Lehman is watching over us all in heaven, getting the gate I"m sure. (He always insisted on getting the gate at his house whenever anyone left).
I just hollered at Paco, and boy do I sound like a man!
Well, the magi (sp) have come, and the tree can come down. However, I don't expect it to as I would like it to, because that is brandon's job and last year it took threats of me dragging it out to the dumpster before he finally took it down. It was fun this year to explain to Madie the christmas story. We read a book about it that was a good overview, and then it came up a lot, like who are the magi, why are they across the room from the rest of the nativity, etc... We watched elf, home alone, a christmas story, and i thought she was a little to young for gremlins which is also one of my christmas faves ironically. She loved elf though. oh we also watched a muppet christmas carol which was pretty fun.
well, i'll probably be bored and post more later. I've got the help to watch today. Have you read the book? It is excellent and highly recommended!!!
